Four US tourists attacked with acid in Marseille: report

Four American tourists were rushed to the hospital after having acid thrown in their face at the main train station in Marseille, France, media reported on Sunday.

According to reports, two of the victims, females aged 20 and 21, suffered facial injuries, while two others were left with burns and in shock. The four tourists were traveling between Marseilles and Paris when a 41-year-old man sprayed them with hydrochloric acid, sources said, adding that the assailant has since been arrested.

No slogans were shouted during the attack and it was not thought to be an act of terrorism, the police said, reports revealed.
