Treasuries rise as risk-on sentiment fades

United States government bonds traded mostly higher on Wednesday as momentum faded on major stock exchanges in Europe following a mixed session in Asia. 

The yield on benchmark 10-year Treasuries eased 0.17 basis points to 2.1655% at 11:20 am CET, while the yield on two-year notes advanced 0.02 basis points to 1.335%. The yield on 30-year debt declined 0.54 basis points to 2.7661% at the same time.

In Europe, the yield on 10-year German Bunds was 0.3 basis points off at 0.398%, whereas the yield on 10-year British gilts dropped 1.7 basis points to 1.118%. Bond yields move in the opposite direction relative to prices.
