Trump had bipartisan dinner with senators

As part of the newly introduced strategy to win over the forces in the political center, United States President Donald Trump met with Senate Republicans and Democrats. The White House said on Wednesday that one day before it organized his dinner with lawmakers from both sides of the isle, with focus on the fiscal overhaul.

"Through bipartisan outreach efforts like this, President Trump is demonstrating his commitment to fulfilling his promises, and that includes producing tangible results on important issues like tax reform. The meeting was highly productive, and will spur constructive discussion moving forward," the statement adds.

Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia told MSNBC Trump assured him and his peers the fiscal plan doesn't include tax cuts for the rich.
