WH: US wants better terms of Paris deal

The White House said the US would withdraw from the Paris climate agreement unless they get more favorable terms. "There has been no change in the United States' position on the Paris agreement. As the President has made abundantly clear, the United States is withdrawing unless we can re-enter on terms that are more favorable to our country," the White House said in a statement.

The White House statement followed after the Wall Street Journal reported citing EU top energy officials that the US may soften their stance on Paris Accord.
