Apple reportedly redefining keyboard

In two years MacBooks may get customizable keys, according to the Wall Street Journal. The paper's portal quoted people familiar with the matter saying Apple Inc. is working with startup Sonder Design Pty Ltd. to develop a smart solution, aimed especially at users who use more languages and professional commands. Still, the feature will reportedly also include simple shortcuts for emojis, a contemporary element in mainstream written communication.

Speculation in the media from last week indicated the Australian firm supported by Taiwan's Foxconn Technology Group, a significant supplier for Apple, was a takeover target for the iPhone maker. The new keyboard, which mirrors recent design endeavors from different parts of the world, is said to be in plan as a standard solution, starting with the MacBook launch in 2018. Sonder will release an independent smart keyboard before the end of the year, the article adds.
