Iran warns ISIS it may bomb it again

Second Brigadier General Ramazan Sharif, spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), told Iranian state television IRIB the nation is united against "terrorists" from the Islamic State, or ISIS, claiming it is evident from the fact the military organization fired missiles to Deir ez-Zor from two Sunni-majority provinces. The report published on Monday adds he warned "international and regional sponsors of terrorism" to take the move seriously, as a warning. There will "definitely be more launches," and stronger ones, if ISIS tries to "violate" Iran's security, the general stressed.

IGRC said it will "spare no efforts" to protect the country. The attack with six missiles with the range of up to 700 kilometers (435 miles) was "successful" but "limited," according to Sharif. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, general director for international affairs in the Iranian parliament, said the intervention was "just a soft warning."
