Trump: Kim will 'truly regret' if he attacks Guam

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will "truly regret" if he strikes Guam, United States President Donald Trump said on Friday. "If he utters one threat, or does anything with respect to Guam, the US, or our allies, he will truly regret it and he will regret it fast," Trump warned ahead of a discussion on expanding apprenticeship programs across the country.

Commenting on his "locked and loaded" tweet from earlier, the US president affirmed that he hopes the North Korean Supreme Leader "fully understands the gravity of what I said, and I meant it." He lamented once more that the previous administration has not dealt with Pyongyang earlier, but maintained that he would "deal with the issue" as he now "has no choice."

Trump stated as well that "millions of people in the country" agree with his reaction to the ongoing row with North Korea "because I am sticking up for our nation." However the situation unfolds, Trump promised the US would be "successful."
