Tesla recalls 11,000 Model X vehicles worldwide

Tesla Inc. is recalling 11,000 Model X SUVs due to faulty back seats in the vehicles, the Associated Press reported on Thursday. Namely, the cables in the seats could have been improperly tightened, which can lead to the seat not being able to lock into place and thus move during a potential crash, Tesla stated.

According to the report, the California-based company claimed that about 3% of Model X vehicles manufactured between October 2016 and August 2017 are affected by the issue.

Tesla insists no customers have been injured as a result of the issue as far as it is informed. The carmaker added it began notifying customers of the Model X about the fault and offered them to either contact the company's mobile repairs units or see a dealer in order to get the cars repaired.
