Ryan looks into changes to new healthcare plan

United States Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said some changes might be made to the new healthcare bill concerning people in their 50s and 60s who could pay higher healthcare costs under the new plan.

Ryan told Fox News on Sunday that his team would look into options how to provide older citizens more assistance, as well as other amendments to the bill before it goes to the House of Representatives for a vote on Thursday.

"The CBO [Congressional Budget Office] looked at a little piece of the issue, when we know the secretary of HHS [Health and Human Services] will help bring market freedom and regulatory relief to the insurance markets to dramatically lower the price of the plan for the 50-and-60 year olds," the Wisconsin Republican that unveiled the bill earlier this month said during the interview. "But even with that, we think, we should be offering more assistance than what the bill currently does."
