Wall Street opens higher after inflation data

Major market Indexes on Wall Street opened higher on Tuesday after BlackRock, Johnson&Johnson and Goldman Sachs reported their third-quarter earnings and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said inflation in September rose 0.3%.

The S&P 500 opened higher by 0.68%, the Dow Jones was slightly higher by 0.27%, while the tech heavy Nasdaq 100 soared 1.11%.

Goldman Sachs jumped 2.25% at 3:35 p.m. CET and BlackRock's shares gained 1.21% at 3:34 p.m. CET following the companies' earnings reports.

Netflix was last seen gapping up a stunning 17.53% after a positive earnings report on Monday night, trading for $117.3 at 3:34 p.m. CET.

The U.S. dollar index was barely positive, higher by 0.03% at 3:38 p.m. CET.

The greenback traded higher 0.25% against the Japanese yen, changing hands for 104.15 at 3:40 p.m. CET.
