Wall Street set to open slightly lower

United States stock index futures pointed to a slightly lower open on Monday ahead of the House Intelligence Committee hearing on Russia's alleged involvement in last year's presidential election in the US.

Meanwhile, investors are waiting to hear from Federal Reserve's Charles L. Evans, as well as President Donald Trump who is set to hold a rally in Kentucky later in the day, while digesting news that G20 finance ministers failed to renew their free-trade pledge at their meeting over the weekend.

The Dow Jones is expected to dip 0.07%, the Nasdaq 100 is seen edging down 0.04% and the S&P 500 is set to open 0.12% in the red.

The euro gained 0.20% against the dollar to sell for 1.0759 and the pound increased 0.13% compared to the US currency to go for 1.2412 at 12:12 pm CET. The greenback was up 0.10% against the yen to change hands for 112.804 at 12:13 pm CET.
